Getting to know Bertha Alicia Bautista

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. My master’s degree is in Marriage and Family Therapy, and I hold a dual bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology. My early professional experience was gained working in community-based residential homes with foster children and their families, where I developed a passion for helping others. My work continued with individuals with disabilities and with children and adults experiencing domestic violence and/or abuse. I pride myself on therapeutic approaches that are person-centered, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families, utilizing interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Informed CBT, Strategic and Structural Family Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, PCIT, and mindfulness-based practices. My experience developed working with dually diagnosed individuals across various environments, including residential settings, school settings, home, community-based clinics, and community nonprofits.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
