What should a new client know about working with you?

I have training in several areas of need. I primarily practice from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapeutic background. I have training in trauma focused CBT as well. I also have many years working in relational therapeutic models as well and have helped many families with this type of foundation.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Trauma is not a state of existing; rather, it's a lifelong journey that one has to endure. An approach where a client can fill their feelings of emptiness due to their past is what I strive to achieve. The path that the client takes with me involves a consultation to see if we are a good fit. The following sessions involve creating a treatment plan and then creating a safe and healthy balance in a therapeutic environment. Journal prompts and therapeutic tasks are also provided, so the journey does not stop and end during the therapy session but continues throughout the week.
