Bonnie Holm, LPC

Psychotherapist
GA
Hi there, I'm Bonnie! My name is Bonnie Holm (LPC006510). I earned my Bachelor's degree from Shorter College and went on to complete my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1996. Since that time, I have been honored to assist a large number of clients in their journey to living their best lives. I have worked in many different settings with individuals, families, and couples. I love my work and look forward to continuing to serve clients on this platform. My approach The treatment modalities I use most are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. However, I have experience with many other types of therapy and enjoy learning new skills. I believe the treatment process should be tailored to each client, and I work collaboratively with my clients to determine what best meets their needs. My focus Over the years, I have worked with most mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, and various forms of trauma. This list could go on much longer, but I have learned that beyond having a well-trained therapist, clients need a therapist who is a good fit for them. My suggestion to anyone beginning this therapeutic journey is to find a therapist they believe they can work well with and to not give up on finding the right fit as an individual, couple, or family. My communication style I believe it takes a lot of courage to begin therapy, and I am always honored to assist clients in this work. I show all individuals the utmost respect, empathy, and care. With my experience, I remain open to client feedback to make the most of our therapeutic time together. My journey to mental healthcare I decided to become a therapist as an adolescent because I believe this is one of the purposes of my life. I love seeing clients meet their goals and feel better about their challenges and lives.
