Getting to know Brandi Merchant

Hello, I am Brandi, and I provide individual counseling to adults and children above the age of 12. I seek to help you access your inner strength and promote the change needed to lead a healthier and balanced life. I view the counseling process as an alliance between you and me. In this alliance, you are the expert, and I will help you navigate those areas you find overwhelming. In our sessions together, you will have a safe space to express your feelings and heal. My theoretical approach to counseling is grounded in the belief that you are in charge of your life and have the capacity to enact change. You will learn the boundaries of aspects of your life that you can control and what you cannot. You will understand that the therapeutic relationship is a partnership in which you will be expected to put in effort through homework, be accountable, and be present within the counseling alliance. I hold a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University. I look forward to working with you and helping you realize your full potential. Contact me today.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
