Has your mind made it difficult for you to focus? Do you feel stuck? It is said we have 60 to 80 thousand thoughts a day—that’s roughly 1.2 thoughts every second. Many of those thoughts are the same ones we had yesterday and the day before. In the world we live in, this oversaturation is constantly reinforced and begins the moment we open our eyes. We start our days feeling behind, playing catch-up. With so many thoughts constantly spinning through our heads, where does that leave time for new thoughts, new growth? How do we hit the pause button to cool the machine down so it may run at its optimal levels? One possible solution is meditation. My approach My work with meditation over the years has given me insight into how we can begin to have a choice in the thoughts that dictate our hour, day, week, year, life. Combining my knowledge of psychotherapy and meditation, I hope to work with you on rediscovering your higher self. In our work together, we will move toward realigning your body, mind, and spirit, shedding maladaptive patterns that may keep you feeling helpless and unmotivated. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Phillips Graduate Institute, which informs my integrative approach. My focus I see individuals 18 and up, as well as minors aged 13-17. Some areas I work with include adolescents/teens, aging, anger management, anxiety, behavioral issues, coping skills, depression, divorce, family conflict, grief, impulsivity, infidelity, internet addiction, life transitions, men’s issues, parenting, relationship issues, school issues, self-esteem, sexual addiction, spirituality, sports performance, stress, and video game addiction. My communication style If meditation is not your avenue at this time, that’s okay. We can work together using classic and postmodern psychotherapy modalities. My goal is to provide comprehensive, compassionate care tailored to each individual's unique needs.
