Brandon Hyatt, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
My therapeutic experience started when I was in Graduate school working with my first clients as my professor and class looked on behind a two-way mirror. After graduating I worked with clients with severe mental health issues in a hospitalization step-down unit for about a year. After that, I worked in community mental health working with ages 0-65 with a range of issues (Trauma, ADHD, anxiety, LGBTQ+, depression, Suicidality, Bipolar, OCD, etc). During that time I started a small private practice where I worked with all who want to see me but the bulk of my practice was eating disorders, anxiety, teens, couples, OCD, and general life improvement. When I stopped working in Community mental health I kept my small practice and went to work with a large healthcare provider where I have been for 9 years. The wonderful thing about a large healthcare provider is the volume of clients you see daily with a variety of issues. You see 8 people a day every day with every issue under the sun. I truly feel there is no better place to grow your skill set with every issue in the DSM and an extremely diverse clientele. My approach as a therapist is simple, I meet my clients where they are so we can reach their goals collaboratively. As a therapist, I work for my clients and understand that we are all different and that what works for some won't work for others. My job is to help people achieve the change/goals/ etc that they want to achieve. To accomplish that I work collaboratively with my clients to understand their goals, what contributes to their situation, and what skills/changes we need to create/uncover to create the changes they are looking for. I'm a therapist with Octave and Evernorth Behavioral Care Group. Octave is a mental health practice providing high-quality care covered by multiple insurances. Evernorth Behavioral Care Group is a behavioral health provider group in-network with Cigna Healthcare and Evernorth Behavioral Health. For my availability, please see my
