Hi there, I'm Brenda! Hello and welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's in Counseling from Texas Woman's University and an MEd from the University of North Texas. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. I am passionate about women's and men's health and helping people navigate life transitions such as career changes. I look forward to hearing from you and finding a time and date convenient to your schedule. My approach My approach is person-centered and collaborative. We will work together to determine your personal goals and find solutions and tools for long-lasting positive change. I utilize modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you learn how to change unhealthy thoughts into constructive alternatives. I also incorporate techniques such as brief therapy and psychoeducation to gain a greater sense of your mental health and develop coping skills. My focus Are you struggling with overthinking, negative or anxious thoughts, and self-doubt? I work with adults 18+ to find strategies to reduce anxiety, manage life transitions, and build self-confidence. It is my belief that most people have the ability to grow and build on their own strengths; however, at times, they need empowerment and encouragement. My communication style I prioritize clear, open communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I practice active listening and will give you opportunities to reflect on your experiences with me as an empathetic partner. If we're working through something challenging, you can expect me to be calm and patient.
