Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Brenda! Having a safe space to talk can help you feel validated, heard, and grounded. If you are feeling stressed in life, facing new or past struggles, feeling overwhelmed or burned out, or want to work on your self-esteem and communication, we can develop skills and process internal changes together to find balance and bliss in life. You do not have to go through it alone. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with a Master's in Counseling from National University, working with individuals and couples who need that safe space to improve in any way. I provide therapy in English and Spanish and work with the Latino community, BIPOC, poly-affirming, and LGBTQ+ communities. My approach I have used CBT for many years, combined with solution-focused therapy, EFT, and client-centered therapy. I utilize psychotherapy to help clients understand their patterns, then work on coping skills to reduce symptoms as we process the effects of long-term patterns and eventually change those patterns and behaviors. My focus I work with individuals and couples seeking a safe space to grow and improve. I have experience with anxiety, trauma, grief, life adjustments and transitions, parenting, relationships, work-related stress, ADHD, depression, and OCD. My client-centered approach incorporates CBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy, some DBT interventions, and solution-focused techniques for couples. My communication style I strive to hold a safe space where you can feel validated, heard, and grounded. I work to make clients comfortable enough to be open about themselves and to explore and learn more about who they are during our sessions.
