My focus Feeling lost, unmotivated or overwhelmed? I work with adolescents and young adults with depression, anxiety, substance abuse and working through life transitions. I work towards empowering individuals to strive for emotionally corrective experiences and build the resilience to self-sustain themselves, while building insight and self-awareness. My approach I use client-centered approach to support diverse clients while utilizing helpful tools through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Dialectal Behavioral Therapy to identify thought patterns, patterns of behavior, relationship issues, values, goals to strengthen coping skills and self-esteem. My communication style I believe being genuine and authentic is important in a therapeutic relationship dynamic to truly connect and build a foundation of trust, empathy and understanding. I strive to be direct, real and honest while remaining curious, patient and compassionate to create meaningful sessions to support your journey and life goals. My journey to mental healthcare My journey with becoming a therapist stems from being a first generation Mexican American and acknowledging the disparities in healthcare access. The impact of trauma on an individual can shape generations. I want to do my part to help close the gap in access to mental health care. I believe every one deserves access to quality health care.
