Brian Ayer, LPCC

Psychotherapist
OH
I use a strength-based, person-centered approach in a collaborative manner to assist my clients in seeing HOPE as they face challenges in life. I have worked as a clinical counselor for over 19 years in a variety of professional settings. These include outpatient community mental health, crisis services, corporate/workplace settings, and owning and operating a private Christian counseling practice. I also have experience educating law enforcement on better assisting individuals in a mental health crisis. I have counseled children, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of concerns. My therapeutic approach is to meet clients where they are in life and provide support and counseling to help effectively address personal challenges. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Ohio University and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. I aspire to educate people on how the use of exercise in the counseling process can positively impact mental health.
