Brian Kerschen, LICSW

Psychotherapist
MA
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and motivational interviewing to help clients reach their goals and find peace. I'm a Christian, so if you'd like to discuss religious views or beliefs during sessions, I welcome that as I believe it has a large effect on our mental health and well-being. My approach My primary approach is to meet you where you are, finding that comfortable place where change can happen after rapport is established. I believe exploring childhood helps us understand why we do the things we do and how we were shaped. Your goals are much more important than mine, and I'll work with you at the pace you'd like to go. My focus I primarily work with adults from every walk of life. I focus on depression, anxiety, grief, aging, relationship issues, parenting, and many things in between. My communication style The environment I create is laid back. I want you to feel comfortable saying what you need to say without any judgment. I understand life can be messy and this world is a difficult place to live at times, so let's work together to make things better. Just be you and things will be great. My journey to mental healthcare I knew early on that I wanted to help others in the most intimate way possible. I've been blessed with a wonderful family, faith, and outlook, and I believe my blessings will continue to assist me in helping others meet their full potential. My goals for you In therapy, I encourage you to set your own goals. I encourage you to think about where you'd like to be and how you'd like to feel, and then we can work together to set goals that will get you to a place of peace and happiness.
