Hello there, I'm Brian Mitchell. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from San Diego State University. I take a client-centered approach to therapy, focusing on trauma and PTSD. I tailor my approach to each client's unique needs and experiences. I am trained in several evidence-based therapies, including CBT, EMDR, and TF-CBT, as well as mindfulness techniques and stress reduction strategies. I work to create a safe and supportive environment for clients to work towards healing and learning coping skills. My approach As a psychotherapist, I prioritize the needs and experiences of each client and adjust my approach accordingly. I use a variety of theoretical approaches in my work, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), to name a few. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can work towards healing and develop effective coping skills. My focus I provide therapy to both teens and adults. I am experienced in treating a variety of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, and PTSD, as well as providing therapy for LGBTQ individuals and those experiencing life changes. I am also comfortable addressing spiritual aspects that may be part of a client's issues. I establish a safe and comfortable environment where clients feel encouraged to share their thoughts and feelings without fear of criticism or judgment.
