Healing isn't simply about getting through difficult experiences. It's about understanding what you've been through, recognizing your strengths, developing healthier ways of coping, and creating meaningful change that can last. I specialize in helping teens and adults navigate trauma, substance use concerns, family and relationship challenges, emotional difficulties, and other life stressors. My approach is compassionate, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and client-centered. I believe therapy works best when you feel safe enough to be honest about what you're experiencing without fear of judgment. My role isn't to tell you how to live your life. Instead, we'll work collaboratively to understand what's happening, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, recognize the strengths and resilience you already possess, and develop practical strategies that support your goals. I also understand that trauma, substance use, and family relationships can be deeply connected. Therapy may involve learning healthier coping strategies, understanding triggers, strengthening emotional regulation, improving communication, rebuilding relationships, increasing motivation for change, or processing experiences that continue to affect your present life. For clients who would like faith to be part of their therapeutic experience, I also welcome the integration of Christian faith and spirituality. Faith-based integration is always guided by your preferences, values, and treatment goals. Whether you're struggling with something that happened in the past, trying to make changes in the present, concerned about substance use, or experiencing difficulties within your family or relationships, you don't have to navigate it alone. Together, we can work toward greater resilience, healthier relationships, sustained healing, and improved overall well-being.

What should a new client know about working with you?

You can expect a compassionate, respectful, collaborative, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment. I understand that opening up about trauma, substance use, family difficulties, or other personal concerns can be challenging. My priority is to create a space where you feel heard and supported while also helping you make progress toward the changes that matter to you. I balance emotional support with practical skill-building. Depending on your needs, we may work on identifying triggers, developing coping strategies, strengthening emotional regulation, improving communication, changing unhelpful patterns, increasing motivation, or developing healthier responses to stressful situations. We'll work at a pace that respects your experiences while remaining focused on your treatment goals. My therapeutic style is: • Compassionate • Trauma-informed • Collaborative • Strengths-based • Client-centered • Nonjudgmental • Practical • Evidence-informed • Goal-oriented • Supportive I believe clients deserve both compassion and effective tools. Therapy should provide a place to process what you've experienced while also helping you develop strategies that can improve your everyday life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work begins by establishing a safe, respectful, and collaborative therapeutic relationship. During the initial sessions, I'll spend time learning about your history, current concerns, strengths, relationships, support system, and what you hope to accomplish through therapy. Together, we'll develop a personalized treatment plan based on your individual needs and goals. Your treatment may include evidence-based interventions, trauma-informed strategies, coping-skills development, psychoeducation, behavioral interventions, motivational work, and family support when appropriate. We'll regularly check in on your progress and discuss what's working, what may need to change, and whether your goals still reflect what's important to you. Treatment isn't something that is done to you. It's something we develop together. Throughout our work, my goal is to help you strengthen resilience, develop practical skills, improve relationships, and create meaningful and sustainable change.
