Bridgette Cordova, LPC

Psychotherapist
GA
I am licensed in Georgia. During my time as a clinician, I have worked in crisis stabilization, private practice, and community mental health, and am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. My passion is helping those with past trauma, as well as women with depression and anxiety in the midst of motherhood and relationships. My approach As a reality therapist, I enjoy helping others to find their capability to identify their strengths and solutions so that their world is one where they can live their lives fully. I believe in identifying what behaviors have not been working and identifying new solutions to implement to move forward and grow in the situation. My focus If you have past trauma, I have training to help you process your past experiences that are affecting you. If you are a woman, a wife, or a mother, my passion is to help you navigate the stress, expectation, and pressure of those roles and help you learn to develop a positive outlook for yourself and identify and prioritize your needs. My communication style I am very person-centered and aim to support you and validate your experiences while also challenging the negative core thoughts that can be affecting you. I am direct, but caring, and I aim to also utilize my cultural experiences to improve our therapeutic relationship. My journey to mental healthcare My journey began working with at-risk youth who had trauma and negative core thoughts. After that, I decided that mental health was the way to help people in the way that I wanted. After getting my master's, I did crisis work, private practice, and community mental health. I have an extensive history working with trauma and people of color. My goals for you We will collaborate to identify your goals for treatment and check in regularly to make sure we are moving toward them. If we need to regroup or make adjustments, we will. I am here to help you move in the direction you want.
