Brittany Delgado, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Brittany! My name is Brittany, and I'm a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) with 8 years of clinical experience working mainly with parents, children, teens, families, and young adults. I earned my Master's in Counseling from California State University, Fullerton. My approach focuses on helping individuals heal by building on their current strengths and learning new tools along the therapeutic journey. As an LMFT, I have primarily supported individuals facing community violence, generational trauma, acculturation, and gender identity issues throughout childhood and adolescence. My approach I use a strength-based approach to therapy and enjoy working with clients through the lens of CBT and Person-Centered interventions. I also incorporate feminist values and am sensitive to gender identity to ensure equality for all human beings in treatment. My specialties include Trauma-Focused CBT and Person-Centered interventions to support clients through healing grief, cultural stress, and life transitions. My focus I enjoy working with children, adolescents, young adults, and older adults who have experienced trauma, facilitating healing from a culturally sensitive perspective. I also work with individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community and people of color. Holistic interventions such as meditation, mindfulness, and spirituality are incorporated into my therapeutic practice to support healing. My communication style I communicate openly and honestly in therapy. I believe clients should set the tone for the treatment they want to receive and that therapy sessions should be collaborative in structure. Clients also collaborate on their treatment goals and diagnosis to empower them to take ownership of their role in healing social and emotional wounds during therapy.
