“Brittany is an amazing therapist. She makes me feel comfortable and cared about. She allows me to speak freely and her objective is to help me continually work to improve how I feel. Getting to know Brittany Drnek

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over ten years of experience in the mental health field. I earned my Master's in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach, and hold a Bachelor's degree from Georgetown University. My clinical experience has made me a firm believer in treating the whole person, and I work to support my clients in learning to care for themselves in all areas of their lives. My approach My therapeutic technique is rooted in a combination of CBT, ACT, DBT, psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, and mindfulness practice. I draw from these various modalities to help clients integrate mind and body more fully, enabling them to operate from a more centered and grounded place. I believe that functioning from this place allows one to access the resilience, strength, and skills necessary to heal wounds and manage life's challenges. Ultimately, I value the opportunity to support my clients in gaining a deeper understanding of themselves, fostering self-acceptance instead of self-judgment, and learning the skills needed to manage symptoms and distressing situations. My focus I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families in residential and outpatient settings, as well as with adults in individual therapy. My areas of expertise include managing anxiety and panic, depression and mood disorders, OCD, trauma symptoms, parenting and family challenges, and relationship issues. My communication style Life can be beautiful and fulfilling, but it can also be incredibly stressful and difficult. Whatever your experience has been or currently is, it is valid. I am here to provide a safe space to heal and create the change you or your family member needs to lead a more fulfilling life. My journey to therapy Having been on both sides of the therapeutic relationship, I deeply understand the value and benefit of good therapeutic work.

Brittany was instrumental in helping me navigate a devastating point in my life. She was patient, kind, and understanding. Her insight and guidance every week left me feeling positive and able to take on the rest of the week.
Brittany provided feedback and listened to my struggles with anxiety in particular. Her explanations and questioning techniques proved that she identified with my struggles and the scope of anxiety and depression. I was a good client and followed through with our treatment plan. Together we clicked!! She gained my confidence that our sessions and my answers were heard with non-judgemental ears. She provided a relationship that was safe; she was the person that I felt worthy of my trust.
