Getting to know Brittany Smith

Hey, I'm Brittany! Do you feel anxiety, grief, or uncertainty during life changes and transitions? Are you struggling in relationships with your spouse, friends, or family? Do you find it difficult to set boundaries or use assertive communication? I help individuals manage symptoms of anxiety, grief, and depression caused by life transitions. Together, we can identify strengths you already have to navigate these changes and develop effective coping skills. I also assist with relational issues because relationships are a huge part of our lives. Learning how to communicate effectively and set boundaries can help take your relationships to the next level. I hold a Master's degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling from Regent University. Throughout our sessions, I take a person-centered and holistic approach to mental health. We will incorporate mindfulness along with coping skills that work best for you! I understand starting therapy can be scary. I'll meet you where you are emotionally with compassion and use evidence-based techniques to help you reach your goals!

What should a new client know about working with you?

When working together, you can expect a variety of tools and resources to help you reach your goals! I will gently and compassionately challenge you to step outside your comfort zone to help you overcome struggles. I also like to provide worksheets, when available, while we are working on tools so you have something tangible to take away from sessions and as a reminder of items we covered!

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
