Getting to know Brittany Tansil
I am strong in my uses of CBT, MI, TF-CBT, trauma informed care, and Solution-Focused theories. I like to use some aspects of Gestalt therapy, cognitive processing therapy, humanistic, and psychodynamic.
I have worked with the community mental health population for 10 years. I am currently at Judson Center working as a co-occurring outpatient therapist with all populations (SUD, MI, SED, children, adults). I have 4 years of experience working as a support’s coordinator with IDD populations. I have 4 years of experience working as a substance abuse therapist/counselor in a residential setting. I have 11 months’ experience working as a MIHP social worker doing home visits. My internship in graduate school was working as a School Social worker in both Middle and High School.
I am both comfortable and experienced in providing crisis management services for both adults and youth experiencing psychiatric emergencies. I prefer not to work in environments with individuals who have persistent high levels of symptomology.
