Psychotherapist

Hi there, I'm Brittney! Hello! My name is Bee and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of California. With a background in emergency and crisis counseling, I am committed to helping you walk through the most difficult of times as well as supporting you through anything that has you feeling stuck in life. My approach My primary approach will always be to create a welcoming space where you feel safe to challenge yourself. Every person is different and therapy is not one size fits all. I pull from attachment, CBT, DBT, and existential therapy. I am currently getting trained in couples therapy modalities. My focus My career has primarily been in emergency mental health, community crisis work, and with forensic populations, as a therapist and supervisor. That means that I have seen clients in every walk of life and with a range of needs. Ranging from serious mental illness to those struggling with communication in their relationships, I will meet you where you're at. My communication style Let's be humans first. I strive to ensure you feel comfortable to be open and honest in order to get the most out of therapy. Part of maintaining that space is strong boundaries balanced with humanity. If something is funny, let's laugh. If something is sad, let's cry. If something doesn't land right with you, I want to know! While I am frequently told I am a calm, soothing presence, I use that energy to push you to do the work you came in for. My journey to mental healthcare I wish I had a better answer, but the truth is I have always been a naturally altruistic person. I want everyone to be their genuine, best self, and believe that therapy can help achieve this. I pursued Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Sociology and earned a Master's in Forensic Psychology. Meeting people where they are at, celebrating all the small wins, and even sometimes just helping someone make the next right choice right now, are things that make it worth it to me.
