Brooke Turk, LPC

Psychotherapist
GA
"Hello, I'm Brooke. I received my B.S. degree in Psychology from the University of North Georgia and earned my M.S. in Clinical Counseling and Psychology from Brenau University. During my Master's program, I completed my thesis on the cognitive strengths of college students, which sparked my specialty in cognitive processing. Over the years, I've gained a variety of experience in research, psychological, and cognitive assessments, which has enriched my practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). My approach to therapy is grounded in a systems perspective, complemented by my skills in cognitive behavioral therapy and other modalities. I believe in providing a supportive and understanding environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings without judgment. Whether you're dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, grief, or medical issues, I strive to offer unconditional positive regard and a safe space for self-discovery and personal growth. I've had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, families, and groups in private practice. My background includes assisting group therapy with parents and children facing behavioral, emotional, and attention challenges. While I have a particular interest in counseling adolescents, I also work extensively with adults in individual therapy. For couples, I offer premarital therapy and support for newly married couples, typically under 30, helping them navigate the early stages of their marriage. Outside of my professional life, I find joy in horseback riding, volunteering, and music. These passions keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of balance and self-care. My personal goal in therapy is to help you uncover your strengths and foster personal growth, no matter the challenges you face. If you're ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
