Hi there, I'm Bryan! My name is Bryan King, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Los Angeles, working with clients statewide via telehealth. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Los Angeles. To me, therapy is about helping individuals get in touch with their true self and be the MVP of their own life. I have been a therapist for 12 years doing just that. When I am not practicing therapy, I like to take walks, hike, enjoy the marine layer, listen to audiobooks, and spend time with family and friends. My approach I approach therapy from a strengths perspective with an eclectic assortment of approaches and tools, individualizing them to our work together to best meet your needs. I work to have a shared reality of where you currently are as well as your true self, helping you reconnect with yourself. The modalities I most frequently use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solutions Focused Therapy—all delivered in a meditative, zen-like approach. My focus I have found my approach fits clients experiencing anxiety, adjusting to new life experiences and challenges, and transitioning into new phases of life, stress, and social pressures. I help you better yourself and navigate these transitional periods, building your strengths and gaining the tools and skills needed to have a more positive outlook, understand yourself, and unlock your true potential. This approach works best with clients from young adulthood through adulthood. My communication style My communication style is cool, calm, and collected, fully tuned in to hear what you are saying beyond your words and helping you bring that out. I strive for open and honest communication to build trust and create a safe space where you feel comfortable fully sharing and receiving all you need to hear to get better.
