“Bryan was thorough in making us comfortable and knowing that this was a safe place to talk about our emotions. Not sure about the communication through the video app, because there was a lot of talking over or cutting my explanation short for him to talk over me.”

Getting to know Bryan Valladares

Hi there, I'm Bryan! My name is Bryan Valladares, a male first-generation Cuban American with a Clinical Professional Counselor License. I hold a Master?s in Psychology from Carlos Albizu University. I have over five years of clinical experience working with diverse demographics and utilizing various therapeutic approaches. My approach My main therapeutic approaches and interventions include Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Play Therapy. My focus I provide Applied Behavior Analysis and in-home therapy services to children, adolescents, and their families facing challenges such as anxiety, aggressive behaviors, anger, depression, self-esteem issues, trauma, as well as parenting and family therapy. I have experience working with children and teens. Our practice focuses on helping children with anxiety, behavioral difficulties, attention deficit, depression, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Sessions are conducted in English and Spanish to accommodate our clients? needs. My communication style I use client-centered approaches to create a safe environment where clients feel comfortable and a collaborative space where they can communicate as little or as much as they desire. My journey to mental healthcare My journey was inspired by my mother, who began her career in the mental health field when I was starting high school. I recognized the importance of mental health during my undergraduate studies and through my adult life experiences. This inspired my life mission to improve the mental health of society for more fulfilling lives. My goals for you I want to understand a client?s upbringing to explain their daily living difficulties and motivation in life, whether they have goals or no goal setting. My first session with you I focus on building rapport and providing psychoeducation about the clinical treatment process so clients feel comfortable with upcoming sessions.

I had a phone consultation with Bryan to determine if he’d be a good fit. Before we began, I clarified that I was only looking for a brief, no-charge intro session — he agreed and said he’d make an exception. Unfortunately, I was still charged the full $150 and multiple future appointments were scheduled without my consent. I tried reaching out but never received a response. This kind of surprise billing through a third-party app like this is deceptive and unfair, especially when trust is supposed to be the foundation. I won’t be returning — and I advise others to confirm everything in writing before moving forward.
