You didn't think it was possible to function while this exhausted, but somehow, you are. You love the new baby you just delivered, but you aren't sure if you love being a parent just yet. Maybe you thought this whole thing would look different—you knew it would be hard, sure, but this feels harder than what you expected. And you're not always sure you can do it. You are not alone. I have been there, both personally, and professionally as I've walked with so many through this path. I help new moms feel heard and seen as they navigate postpartum, and eventually, find themselves and thrive again.

Getting to know Bryden Spevak

You didn't think it was possible to function while this exhausted, but somehow, you are. You love the new baby you just delivered, but you aren't sure if you love being a parent just yet. Maybe you thought this whole thing would look different—you knew it would be hard, sure, but this feels harder than what you expected. And you're not always sure you can do it. You are not alone. I help new moms feel heard and seen as they navigate postpartum, and eventually, find themselves and thrive again.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I help new moms adjust to the often challenging transition to parenthood through nonjudgmental, supportive talk therapy. I love what I do! I help clients feel relief through my overall approach, which is completely and authentically nonjudgmental (trust me—whatever you're going through, I've probably worked with before many times, or experienced myself!) and supportive. My clients say that they can feel how much I care right from the first session, and often leave sessions feeling connected, safe, and like they have a path forward. I am certified in perinatal mental health, and continue to engage with relevant trainings on a frequent and ongoing basis. My clients' trust is very important to me, and I take your care very seriously. In sessions, we'll explore what is currently going on to bring you to therapy, make a plan to help you feel better as soon as possible, and continually check in on how that plan is working for you or not. Therapy can take time, of course, but I try to help ease the most impactful burdens quickly, so that you can feel relief in and outside of sessions as we work together.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Sessions with me feel safe, compassionate, calm, and often, funny! I am highly authentic in my practice, and bring my full self to each session. I offer a free consult call to any potential clients, and if we are a good fit, we'll schedule an intake session, where I'll ask you lots of questions and try to get to know you and your specific needs thoroughly! Together, we'll collaborate on treatment goals and then set up a cadence of sessions from there! Please reach out if you think we'll be a good fit, or if you have any questions at all!
