She'll partner with you in a non-judgmental and respectful manner to work toward your goals in a positive and meaningful way. She'll meet you where you are in your life. Whether you have an in-person or an online session, the space becomes yours. It will be a space where we can use your strengths, humor, creativity, and resilience to overcome your personal challenges. She'll remind you that we're all works in progress, and it takes many steps to cross a bridge. Callie strives to give her clients appropriate tools to guide them into what they collaboratively agree would be the right approach to overcoming their struggles. She considers herself to be an active therapist, combining experience, education, creativity, and a sense of humor with a down-to-earth, realistic approach to counseling. She pulls from trauma-informed approaches, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and both attachment and mindfulness-based stress reduction to empower clients to embrace authentic self-expression and increase their feelings of self-worth and well-being. With a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado, she has experience working with diverse individuals, children, adolescents, and families experiencing significant mental health symptoms. She's worked in a school for adolescents on the autism spectrum and in both long-term and short-term residential facilities for youth who have experienced trauma. As a result of her experience, she's able to work effectively with individuals, families, children, and adolescents with a wide range of needs.
