Candace Bynum-Omodunni, LPC

Psychotherapist
GA
Hi there, I'm Candace! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's in Counseling Psychology from Adler University. I enjoy helping individuals and families reach their potential. You can reach out to me if you would like to maintain sobriety, work on changes in mood, or better understand the environment around you. My approach I use different forms of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy depending on the issues we are addressing. I may use brief solution-focused CBT for individuals experiencing difficulty adjusting to a new environment. I also use Relapse Prevention strategies for those who want to achieve or maintain sobriety. My focus I have mostly worked with individuals with dual diagnoses, such as substance abuse and mental health challenges, which has led me to support those who have experienced traumatic events. My communication style I have a laid-back personality and am very nonjudgmental. Individuals can feel free to be themselves around me. I create an environment of mutual respect. My journey to mental healthcare I grew up always wanting to understand why some people behaved the way they did and why others did not live up to their potential. My goals for you Each client is responsible for creating their own treatment plan with SMART goals. You decide what you want to achieve. My first session with you The first session will be a behavioral health assessment that includes the presenting problem, history of the problem, social factors impacting you, and more.
