“Candace has a very inviting personality. She made me feel comfortable to be transparent and express myself freely and openly by allowing me to talk, asking thought provoking questions, and actively listening while taking notes. Candace was able to begin unpacking some of my challenges within the first session (attentive and intuitive). I especially enjoyed being able to find therapy with a faith-based perspective for the first time ever. I look forward to continuing our sessions.”

Getting to know Candace Jones

Hello! I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) in Maryland. I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology from Bowie State University and my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland. I am currently working toward a Doctorate in Christian Counseling as well. I consider my studies a nice mixture of mind, body, and spirit so I can help people identify how they can truly thrive in all aspects of their life. I don’t look to solve people’s problems; I often provide short-term, solution-focused therapy to help people figure out how they want to manage their own stressors. I think equipping people with necessary tools for success is how they end up best equipped to take and keep control of their circumstances once they have learned everything they can from our partnership. Don’t worry, I am patient and sensitive to people’s needs because I know therapy can be scary, and peace is my priority. However, I am a motivator and a teacher aiming for your success and healing at all times, so I tend to say what people need to hear when they’re ready to hear it. Feel free to partner with me on your journey to recovery and see if I am a good fit for your needs.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Takeaways from our session should be empowerment, confidence, and education. I think every session should at least teach you something about yourself or others to help you toward unlocking the power that is within you.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
