I plan to assist you with facing, honoring, respecting, and nurturing those God-given emotions until they run their natural course and dissipate. Then, my goal is to teach you to become a scientist of your mind, body, and spirit, so you can become your own therapist by the end of our time together. The aim is to help you slow down and analyze the billions of thoughts (conscious and subconscious) traveling at 24 billion miles per second in your mind, to obtain mental clarity and make sense of the information your five senses take in. I hope to help you reprogram and rewire your brain by teaching healthier ways to cope. My goal is to improve your overall quality of life and help you create the life you want. Once you begin to manage negative emotions, reduce self-defeating thoughts, and eliminate unwanted behaviors, you should see improvement in every aspect of your life, find balance, and operate at a higher frequency. My approach At the heart of my practice are Client-Centered, Strength-Based, Mindfulness, CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused, and Narrative therapies. My focus Individuals struggling with relationship issues, life changes/adjustment (job loss, new job, school, divorce, work/life balance), depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, grief and loss, substance misuse, racial trauma, and trauma are welcome to schedule with me. My communication style I use congruent communication to ensure my verbal and nonverbal messages align, building a trusting therapeutic environment. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Phoenix, which informs my compassionate and evidence-based approach to therapy.
