What should a new client know about working with you?

DISCLAIMER: We are not accepting Medicare or Medicaid plans at this time. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been driven by my curiosity, empathy, and desire to help. I always saw myself working in mental health, but life initially took me in a different direction. Eventually, I found my way to my dream career, and I don't take a moment of it for granted. My appreciation for the richness and complexity of the human experience is at the heart of every session.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Relationships shape who we are, how we move through life, and how we see ourselves. Whether I'm working with couples, families, or individuals, I focus on helping you show up more effectively in your most meaningful connections while improving your communications and approach to conflict. I'm passionate about elevating quality of life through forging more satisfying relationships, while also recognizing that the connection with oneself is the most important of all. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming and sex positive. In my work with couples, I support all relational styles, including ethical non-monogamy and polyamory. I show up for my patients with authenticity, warmth, and humor, creating a safe and comfortable space for you to embrace all the facets of yourself. To support that space, I take a person-centered, strengths-based approach to counseling and draw from modalities including existential therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems, and Gottman's Method, teaching Mindfulness and grounding skills along the way to help you work through difficult emotions and break out of distressing thought patterns.
