CA
Hi there, I'm Carin! I’ve worked with schools for 27 years, providing therapy and consultation to parents and students on school-based issues. I am comfortable and familiar with school-based issues. Therapy is about building relationships. My focus Creating a safe space where clients feel free to share their thoughts and feelings without fear of criticism. Accepting clients for who they are, regardless of their background, beliefs, or challenges. Adjusting therapeutic techniques and approaches to fit the unique needs, preferences, and circumstances of each client. My approach Therapy is about building relationships. Building Rapport: Establishing trust is critical, as children and teens may initially feel hesitant or unsure about therapy. I use a warm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental approach to make them feel at ease. My therapeutic approach with clients is dynamic. My communication style I am accessible and inclusive: We strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome and can access the support they need, regardless of background or identity. I take a holistic approach: Our counseling approach focuses on addressing the whole person, considering the interplay between mental, emotional, and social factors. My journey to mental healthcare I always knew I would be a therapist from a young age. I was considered the "helper" starting at a very young age. I take this work very seriously and love getting to know my clients- all parts. I believe in walking the path with my clients and sharing in the work. My goals for you I create a supportive environment that empowers individuals to build resilience, achieve their goals, and live fulfilling lives.
