Psychotherapist

Like the name of my practice, I believe individuals are capable of blooming even through the most difficult circumstances. As a therapist who treats anxiety, OCD, depression, and trauma, my goal is to help you better understand yourself, process past pain, and feel confident moving through life. I aim to be a safe guide who assists you in reaching the life you want. Ultimately, you are the boss—you have a say in the changes you want to make and the goals you set. With the help of my expertise, I will support you in finding meaning in your life, facing painful situations, and living a life you value. Throughout this process, I encourage transparency and open communication, because this is your life, not mine. YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT SPOT. I understand—I have been there too, watching myself go through life feeling like a shell of a person. After experiencing several traumatic events, the loss of both my parents in my early 20s, and homelessness, I was left reeling with a variety of painful emotions. With the support of some wonderful individuals, I was able to take control of my life and continue to live boldly. Therapy with me isn’t about becoming someone “different.” There is no such thing as perfection, only progress. I believe you deserve to be heard, validated, and supported. Your story is yours and just as important as anyone else’s story. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Marshall University, which equips me with the knowledge and skills to guide you through your healing journey.

What should a new client know about working with you?

During our sessions together we will work towards achieving your goals. This process will allow you to decompress from life’s daily struggles while learning skills to find your peace and happiness. Together in session, we will use a variety of tools and techniques that go beyond just identifying the symptoms and we will get to the root of the problem. We will explore the connection between emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. The techniques learned will help you cope with feelings of distress and learn to be in the present. This may include recognizing when we are having unhelpful thoughts and learning to challenge and reframe them. Practicing acceptance and mindfulness techniques is another technique that may be used as it can improve our ability to be focused on the present, be nonjudgmental, and reduce how often we future trip. Through regular practice you will work to reteach your brain and embrace new ways to go about life.

In-network insurances

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
