Hello, I'm Carol, a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision (LISW-S) in the state of Ohio. With over 30 years of clinical experience in both medical and mental health settings, I have dedicated my career to helping individuals navigate through their toughest times. My focus has always been on therapy and crisis management, and I have had the privilege of working with clients dealing with PTSD, TBI, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Depression, and Anxiety Disorders.
I utilize Reality, Supportive, and Cognitive Behavioral based therapies to assist my clients with the issues they are struggling with. My approach is open and non-judgmental, as I believe that building a good rapport and establishing trust with my clients is essential for effective therapy. Identifying the individual and unique traits of each client is key to successful therapy, and I strive to create a safe space where you can feel heard and understood.
In our sessions, we will work together to identify specific problems and develop strategies to lessen or resolve symptoms that are negatively impacting your life. I provide tools to assist with coping skills and stress management, recognizing that we are all affected by increased stress in today's society. Therapy can be incredibly beneficial in helping you better deal with depression, anxiety, and the isolation that many people are now experiencing.
