Getting to know Carolina Baldner

I am a licensed mental health counselor with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida International University and several years of experience in private practice. I have been working with children, teens, adults, couples, and families, accompanying my clients in their processes toward achieving higher levels of wellbeing and overall health. I am a mother of two grown women, have a rescue dog and a cat, and practice self-care by walking outdoors every day while listening to music and enjoying nature. I am also working on a couple of writing projects that I hope to share with you in the near future. I specialize in CBT, solution-focused therapy, and talk therapy, and I apply skills of psychodrama and play therapy with my youngest clients. I have helped people with anxiety, depression, PTSD, addiction, acculturation issues, grief, academic performance, self-image, and LGBTQ advocacy. If you'd like more information, please reach out! I hope we can work together toward achieving your wellness goals!

What should a new client know about working with you?

Our sessions will be collaborative and engaging. Our main goal will be to identify your personal goals while designing a treatment plan that will aim at achieving them. Our therapeutic alliance is one of my main focuses as it is essential to your growth and success in therapy. After a few sessions I hope you will have gained tools and coping skills to apply on your own in your journey toward self actualización.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

The appt was booked as a pediatric psychotherapy appt and was booked for a week when the provider came on and told my daughter she was too young to be seen. Last time I checked pediatric was 0-18 year old so I’m very confused where the line in the sand is drawn.
