Psychotherapist

Do you feel stuck in an unhealthy cycle? Overwhelmed by life's stressors? Experiencing difficulty engaging in positive change? I am a firm believer that in life, it is not about how well you celebrate the good times, but how you handle and overcome the difficulties that allow us to grow and become stronger. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Stetson University, specializing in the treatment of eating disorders and management of acute crises, trained in CBT and DBT techniques. Together, we will identify current issues, goals, and an appropriate treatment plan to achieve autonomy, self-love, acceptance, and increased confidence to manage thoughts and behaviors in a healthy way. I provide a safe, calming space to express your true thoughts and feelings, allowing the healing process to begin. My approach is both evidence-based as well as empathic to each story, as no two are exactly alike. I use a combination of CBT/DBT skills, mixed with motivational interviewing and discussions with a person-centered approach, creating an inclusive and warm environment for honesty and growth. I look forward to meeting you and working together!

What should a new client know about working with you?

You can expect to feel heard in each session, with time dedicated to goal achievement and what this may look like. I will guide you through the process of therapy, discussing phases on a frequent basis and evaluating progress each step of the way. After multiple sessions (this means something different for everyone) and consistent effort, you will likely notice a more positive outlook, increased feelings of self-control, and a decrease in symptoms that led you to seek therapy.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
