I'm Carrie, and I'm a licensed professional counselor. I graduated from Lamar University in August 2024 with a master's degree in counseling and development, and I earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Houston–Downtown in 2012 with a major in psychology and a minor in sociology. I have worked in the field for about 14 years. I am a boy mom and cat lover—I have four sons (two of my own and two bonus) and a husband who keeps me on my toes. I work with clients of all ages and various concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, parenting, and more. Different experiences throughout my life have led me to want to help others. Above all, being the daughter of a beloved father who struggled with addiction, dealing with trauma, and the intense grief from his passing have been the major driving forces of my motivation. I have an integrative approach to counseling and hope to grow with you at Thriveworks, offering a safe space to work toward your goals while guiding and empowering you.
