What should a new client know about working with you?

I am currently accepting new clients. In general, I work with children, adolescents, and their parents, as well as adults seeking support with emotional, relational, and developmental concerns. My approach is primarily psychodynamic and relational, with integration of CBT and DBT skills when helpful to support insight, coping, and lasting change. I offer in-person therapy at Process Therapy Institute in San Jose and secure telehealth for clients anywhere in California. I also offer a free 15 min. phone consultation prior to booking the first appointment to discuss any questions and concerns. This is also an opportunity to mutually determine if my therapeutic approaches suit your needs.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I draw on depth-oriented approaches — work that goes beneath the surface to explore the patterns quietly shaping your life. We'll talk, explore, and make meaning together. I bring genuine curiosity to each person's inner world and work collaboratively, not from a position of expert-on-you. Most clients describe the experience as feeling genuinely heard.
