Getting to know Carolyn O'Connor
Hello, I'm Carolyn, a Licensed Clinical Independent Social Worker (LICSW) at Grow Therapy. I'm so glad you're here. Reaching out for support-whether starting therapy for the first time or finding a new therapist-can feel like a big step. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable, supported, and truly heard.
I work collaboratively with my clients to explore what brings you to therapy and to identify meaningful goals we can work toward together. I strive to meet you where you are and support you at your own pace throughout the process.
One of the most meaningful compliments I've received was from a client who shared that I made them feel “so special.” That reflects the heart of my approach-I lead with compassion and aim to help each person feel valued, supported, and understood, especially during difficult times.
You may also occasionally see my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Chloe, who sometimes joins sessions to provide a little extra comfort.
You are not alone. I'm here to support you, and I look forward to meeting you and walking alongside you on your journey toward healing.
What should a new client know about working with you?
In our first session, I want to know what is your most pressing issue. Then, I will spend some time getting familiar with your background and goals for therapy.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
