Getting to know Carrie Cravens

Hi, I'm Carrie. I am a Clinical Social Worker licensed in Virginia and Missouri with 9 years of experience helping adults navigate a variety of challenges that life can sometimes throw at us. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Alaska Anchorage. Have you struggled with anger issues, self-esteem, trauma, or even working through lifetime milestones? Together, we can find solutions and coping skills to help you get back on track and become the best version of yourself. Life is full of ups and downs, and sometimes we need a little help to return to a life of happiness and contentment. I integrate mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy skills to address your needs and focus on living a life aligned with your values. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed with work or relationships, or struggling with depression and anxiety, I am here to help. We will work together to find the best skills and solutions that fit you as an individual. Seeking help can be an intimidating process, but by working collaboratively, we will explore ways for you to feel better and move forward.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In our first session we will discuss your concerns and needs.I will ask questions about your background to seek understanding of your life experiences. Collaboratively we will make goals to address during our sessions. Throughout our work together we will address background factors and thought processes in which contribute to current struggles and find ways to overcome those hardships and move forward with a healthy life. You can expect a respectful and non-judgmental environment in our sessions and learn techniques to improve and manage your life stressors and concerns.

In-network insurances

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
