Carrie Glebe, LMHC

Psychotherapist
FL
Hi, I am so glad you have decided to take a step in healing from your past. I am Carrie Glebe, a licensed mental health counselor in Florida. I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor's from Union Institute & University. I have a virtual practice and work with adult clients statewide. I specialize in helping people who grew up in families with instability or turmoil, such as addiction, mental health issues, abuse, neglect, anger, poverty, foster care, religious trauma, or other forms of trauma. My approach I frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as both help build a shared understanding of reality and allow us to work together. I believe in human potential to grow and change. We are amazing creatures who can overcome severe adversity. My focus Adult clients often come to me struggling with addiction, self-sabotage, self-harm, shame/guilt, co-dependency, depression, anxiety, dissociative disorders, or emotional regulation problems stemming from childhood instability. I also specialize in working with adults in non-traditional relationships such as kink/BDSM, polyamory, and open relationships. Many clients dealing with sexual or gender identity issues or those in the LGBTQ+ community seek me out for an open-minded, nonconservative therapist. My communication style My goal is to create a safe space for you to express yourself fully without judgment. Many clients say my approach is soothing and that I am easy to talk with about their concerns. My journey to mental healthcare I have always wanted to understand human behavior. I started reading Freud and Jung around age 14. People seemed drawn to me to talk about their struggles.
