What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapeutic Approach I view therapy from an insight-oriented framework, grounded in Psychodynamic theory. Through this collaborative approach, I encourage the exploration of past and present emotions, beliefs, experiences, and behaviors and work with you to develop a deeper understanding of your early life experiences. Through this process, I believe individuals are able to develop meaningful insight into themselves and their lives. Couples Therapy In our work together, I aim to help couples develop the individual insight and self-awareness necessary to understand, repair, strengthen their relationship. It is my hope that partners will then feel more equipped to work together as a team when addressing their challenges and learn to prioritize the needs of their relationship. Men's Mental Health Through my own professional experience and education, I have a developed a strong passion and credible history in providing therapy for men. In my experience, the social expectations of masculinity can make it difficult for men to find a safe space to talk about many of the issues they face. I provide non-judgemental space for men to talk openly and honestly about their struggles, emotional challenges, and mental health concerns, which isn’t always available in their existing male social relationships.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

* PLEASE NOTE: Prior to our first session, I will reach out via email to schedule a 15 minute phone consultation to ensure we are a good fit * I have in person availability at my West Hollywood office on Wednesdays between 12-2pm. In our first session together, we will get to know each other better and I will ask more questions to deepen my understanding of your needs for therapy. I practice "talk therapy" so each session is driven by what is most important at that moment, versus a pre-planned agenda. We will meet for 50 minutes each week, on the same day/time.
