Casey Rath, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Casey! My name is Casey Rath, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University. I utilize a Humanistic/Client-Centered/Existential approach focused on helping clients create a meaningful, purposeful, and fulfilling life. My approach I believe successful therapy depends on a strong therapeutic relationship based on openness, honesty, authenticity, and non-judgment. In therapy, we are "fellow travelers" on a journey to discover the answers clients seek. My focus I work with individuals, families, and couples of all ages and backgrounds. I have experience treating anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, family conflict, parenting challenges, grief/loss, phase of life problems, lack of meaning and purpose, trauma, and substance abuse. My communication style I create a calm, relaxed, safe space for clients. My goal is for clients to feel seen, heard, and understood through genuine compassion and empathy. I also believe humor is helpful in therapy. My journey to therapy I was drawn to therapy because I love stories and believe everyone has a unique story to tell. I am driven to help clients become the hero of their own stories and live the life they dream of. Being a therapist is incredibly rewarding and meaningful. My goals for you Goal setting is collaborative. I work with clients to create realistic, attainable goals based on their unique needs and wants. When clients take full responsibility for their life, behavior, and choices, great things happen. My first session with you In the first session, I spend time getting to know clients, where they are coming from, where they want to go, and how they want to get there.
