Hi! I'm Cathy! I want you to know that if you're finding it difficult to cope and balance your responsibilities, relationships, work, and health, please know that you're not alone! It can be challenging to find time to prioritize yourself when there are so many outside demands in your life. I specialize in helping people from a wide, neurodiverse, socio-economic, and culturally diverse population manage stress, anxiety, and get their lives in better balance. In our sessions together, we'll work to identify the root causes of your concerns and develop strategies to improve your overall emotional life and well-being. My approach is grounded in a trauma-informed whole self-model, which means that we'll address the needs of your mind, body, and spirit. In addition, I'll incorporate life coaching techniques, mindfulness, body movement, art, and music as tools to help you build a stronger relationship with yourself. Whether you're struggling with overwhelm, relationship issues, life transitions, or cycles of anxiety and depression, I'm here to help. I earned my Master's in Social Work and Bachelor's degree from California State University, Sacramento, which have equipped me with a strong foundation to support you effectively. I know that seeking therapy can feel intimidating, but it's a fantastic step towards healing and growth. You deserve a safe space to explore your challenges, and in our sessions, I'll meet you with empathy, compassion, and offer evidence-based techniques to help you overcome what is holding you back. Let's work together to get you back on track!

What should a new client know about working with you?

After our first session together, you can expect to explore your concerns and their root causes. We will talk about what you want to achieve through therapy. I might suggest specific techniques or teach you new coping skills to manage your emotions and stress to move you towards your goals. As we continue working together, we may explore different approaches such as role-playing or narrative therapy to help gain insights into your thoughts and feelings. As you develop new skills, you will grow a healthier perspective towards yourself and learn how to manage your relationships. I have helped clients struggling with anxiety to learn to live more happy, calm and peaceful lives. Working together, we can find the approaches that work.

In-network insurances

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
