Psychotherapist

If you are feeling overwhelmed, stressed out, alone, and having a hard time with everything going on in your life, then you are in the right place. I get it. My name is Catherine Moore, and I work with people like you—those going through life changes, who need someone to talk to, want stronger coping skills, and need to press pause sometimes. I approach therapy by getting to know who you are now, where your thoughts and behaviors come from, exploring how the different factors in your life impact you, and teaching you coping skills to move forward. I'd be honored to work with you. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support you through your journey. My approach The theoretical approaches I use most are trauma-informed care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness-based approaches. These work together to explore how your thoughts and emotions impact your actions. More importantly, they help you take back control of your thoughts so you are not suffering from ruminating or racing thoughts that distract you from what’s truly important. My focus The clients I primarily see are female clients who are moms and going through a life transition. This can include grief or the loss of a relationship. The people I see experience anxiety, racing thoughts, depression, and often feel like they have to be the “strong one.” My communication style Working with me is casual and real. We will laugh, cry, and even cuss together if that’s what you need. I meet you where you are, encourage you to talk about what’s stressing you out the most, and give you an outlet to let this off your shoulders so you can continue to show up for yourself and your loved ones the best you can every day. Clients often tell me they love sessions because they walk away feeling “lighter.
