I help people come face to face with the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that keep them feeling stuck and unfulfilled in life, marriage, and important relationships. Hello, my name is Celebrity Blockton-Gonzalez, and I'm dually licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). I earned my Master's in Counseling Psychology from California Baptist University. I am passionate about helping people live healthy and meaningful lives, as well as helping marriages and relationships thrive. My approach While I believe that the past is important to understand the present and develop self-compassion, our work together will largely focus on the present. We will spend time processing your experiences and developing skills and tools to best support you on your growth journey. I use a variety of evidence-based interventions tailored to your strengths and needs. Therapeutic approaches I utilize include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength-Based, Positive Psychology, and Couples Therapy/Gottman Method. My focus My clients typically range in age from 19 to 35 years old, mostly experiencing life and career transitions, marital and relationship challenges, generalized and social anxiety, stress, procrastination, perfectionism, mild depression, and difficulties with communication and conflict management. My communication style I work collaboratively with you throughout the therapeutic process to build a trusting and supportive relationship. It matters that you feel heard and understood. I will meet you where you are and consistently encourage your healing and growth. My journey to therapy For as long as I can remember, I have had a drive to help others. By experiencing and navigating my own adverse life experiences, both as a child and an adult, I can understand my clients on a deeper level and join with them in their healing and growth journey.
