Hi there, I'm Cesar! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in the San Fernando Valley. I earned my Master's in Social Work from California State University, Northridge. I use a client-centered and trauma-informed approach to create a safe, supportive space where you can express yourself freely and feel comfortable being vulnerable. My focus includes working with children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing depression, grief, anxiety, PTSD, and/or trauma. My approach I utilize an integrative therapeutic approach that combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques to best support you in meeting your therapeutic goals. My focus I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults of diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Specifically, I have several years of experience supporting systems-impacted adolescents and adults who are working through their complex trauma. I feel comfortable and confident in my ability to work with individuals experiencing depression, grief, anxiety, PTSD, and trauma. My communication style I emphasize maintaining an empathetic, open, and safe space where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings without judgment. You can expect to feel heard, validated, and supported throughout your therapeutic journey. My journey to mental healthcare My interest in a career in therapy began through my work with families and children impacted by the criminal justice system, legal system, and foster care. Growing up in a low-income community with limited social support, I saw how valuable therapy could have been in addressing the common challenges within my community-if it hadn't been stigmatized and inaccessible. These experiences made me realize just how difficult it is for certain communities to access therapy and how deeply stigmatized it is.
