Getting to know Ceylan Onor

Hi! I'm Ceylan, pronounced "Jay-lahn." I'm Turkish. Are you dissatisfied with your life, your relationships, or your work? Are you overthinking, beating yourself up, or struggling to make decisions about how to move forward and build the life you really want? Maybe you even know what you want but feel blocked somehow from moving ahead. Therapy is a wonderful place to explore and overcome what stands in your way. Whether you have unresolved trauma that has created thoughts and behaviors no longer helpful to you, or you're struggling to connect with others and unable to form and keep supportive, meaningful relationships, therapy can help. Maybe your daily habits, or even addictions, are keeping you from being your best self. For over 10 years, I have supported folks in their mental health recovery journey by creating a safe space to explore what it takes to have a fulfilling and meaningful life. Much of this journey involves clarifying and aligning with personal core values, improving relationships, and implementing healthier, more enjoyable coping skills and daily routines. I hold a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northern Vermont University, as well as a Master's and Bachelor's degree from Goddard College. I know the real you is in there, possibly blocked by self-doubt and unhelpful thoughts that say, “Who do you think you are to ask for more?” You have one precious and fleeting life! Let's explore together how to make the most of it. I believe in you!

What should a new client know about working with you?

I want you to be heard and seen and to have your feelings validated. What is causing you suffering? Where are you and where would you like to be? Let’s make a plan together! I will support and challenge you to explore and examine conflicts in yourself, your life, and your relationships. In sessions, you will learn positive coping skills to manage your day to day experiences and we will set intentions for using these skills in between sessions. My hopes and intentions for our work together is that you will get significant relief from whatever has been causing you distress, you will improve your relationships with yourself and others, and that you will build a life which is fulfilling and meaningful to you.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Ceylan makes therapy like talking to a friend. She makes it feel like home. I appreciate her welcoming personality.

I went through two or three other therapists before I finally found Ceylan, and she's really helping me with some longstanding concerns that I didn't have much hope of resolving. Straight to talk to, and I just feel more optimistic now.
I can’t express how much I enjoy Ceylan as my therapist. I always leave out sessions feeling better and with a goal in mind. She is caring and really listens. You can tell she loves her job and she has she does to help people. Even though I’ve only been going to her for a short time I can already feel a change and can’t wait to see what I will be able to accomplish in the future with her assistances.
Ceylan has been instrumental in my ability to move forward at this time in my life. She has done a lot to help me sort through the very complicated workings of my mind. Her support has been pivotal.
I haven’t had a good therapist in a while. I find that Ceylan is both validating and helps to point out when my own opinion of things can be obscured. She is very personable. I haven’t had a good therapist in a while and I really like her.
Very easy to talked to and very understanding
Ceylan is all of the above!! Empowering, Warm, Authentic, Open-minded, Intelligent, Challenging and more. I really appreciate her and my time so far with her as my therapist. I was really hesitant to starting therapy but it was such a great and immediate fit. I am so thankful to have her in my life. I always look forward to our sessions.
I've only had a few sessions with Ceylan but I already feel more seen and understood by her than I have by any other therapist. She is really validating and very easy to talk to. She understand where I'm coming from culturally and makes the effort to learn more. She is the first therapist I've had who doesn't make me feel like something is wrong with me.
Ceylan is the first therapist I have seen. I was fully prepared to not 100% mesh with my therapist's style as I have heard it can take time to find a great fit. However, so far I have been pleasantly surprised with our sessions and the progress I've made in the management of my anxiety, trauma, and overall mental well-being. I plan to continue working with her for the foreseeable future.
I appreciate the balance Ceylan strikes between pushing things forward and giving me enough time to implement suggestions and skills. I feel like I'm making progress at a sustainable rate. I also appreciate her positive feedback about specific things I'm doing well at. That motivates me to continue putting in the work and helps me believe I can succeed at building the life I want.
