Hello, I'm Chanell. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a passion for helping individuals navigate life's challenges. I received my BA in Criminology in 2011 and went on to earn my Master's degree in Social Work from Cleveland State University in 2015. Since 2019, I've been independently licensed, and in 2021, I achieved my supervision designation. My journey in the field of social work has allowed me to work with youth, women, veterans, and seniors in various settings, including residential, home, and hospitals. I have a particular focus on working with individuals in crisis and those coping with adversity. My extensive experience includes helping clients who have faced trauma, loss, and grief. I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy, working alongside you to uncover your intuitive knowledge for processing and managing challenging emotions and life transitions. In addition to my work with SonderMind, I am a supervisor for the Homeless Healthcare for Veterans Program at the Cleveland VA. Here, I connect homeless and at-risk veterans with housing solutions, healthcare, and other essential supports. Previously, I provided one-on-one therapy for children, adolescents, and adults at Reach Counseling Services. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and learning new skills.
