Chantal Stendardo, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
My name is Chantal Stendardo, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Stanislaus. I have an extensive history of individual therapy, crisis intervention, marriage counseling, and family therapy. Therapy is an interactive process between the therapist and client with the purpose of improving the client's quality of life in any number of ways. My approach My therapeutic approach focuses on taking action, either by setting and accomplishing tasks or improving insight and outlook. It varies based on individual need; however, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Informed therapy are the most common methods I use. My focus Much of my career has involved the evaluation and treatment of adults who have struggled with a wide range of symptoms and circumstances. I focus on depression, anxiety, family stress, trauma history, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and co-occurring disorders (having both mental health symptoms and a substance use disorder), which have made up the bulk of my psychotherapy experience. My communication style My communication style is clear, open, and honest. I am supportive and encouraging while noting opportunities for improvement and identifying ways to reframe the way circumstances are viewed and interpreted.
