Psychotherapist
GA
I'm not the typical therapist that you see on your television! I've worked with a diverse population, but I absolutely enjoy working with teenagers and young adults. I have a genuine passion for helping young people. My professional experience has consisted of providing clinical mental health, crisis interventions, and case management within non-profit shelters, detention/secured facilities, health clinics, inpatient and outpatient settings, and within the community sector. My approach My primary therapy orientation is person-centered because I strongly believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is vital for client growth. I feel that to maintain client authenticity, the clients need to be heard, valued, and understood. While I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, it allows a hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving. It is my goal to help my clients change patterns of thinking or behavior that are behind people's difficulties, so they can change the way in which one feel. My focus I love working with teens and young adults who want to do to process depression, anxiety, stress, and low self-esteem. I want to help my clients become the best version of themselves. My communication style I have an approachable demeanor that makes me less intimidating and welcoming to those with whom I work, thus I easily build therapeutic rapport. My journey to mental healthcare As a teenager, I always wanted to help people. I know how it feels to go through hard times and need someone to talk to who will listen and not judge. My goals for you I want to help clients gain an understanding of the reasons for counseling and the goals they want to achieve. My first session with you During our first session, you can expect a relaxed and welcoming environment. You will not feel judged, and we can start building a therapeutic rapport. Collaboratively, we can create goals that you want to achieve.
