Hi there, I'm Charles!
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Global. I am experienced and passionate about helping people adjust to the inevitable changes we all face in life. I'm also trained to help those struggling with addiction and alcoholism. I have personal experience with cancer and over 18 years in addiction recovery. I truly believe my own life experiences help me connect with those who are similar to me.
My approach
I am a certified Acceleration Resolution Therapist and trained in EMDR. My therapeutic approaches include Humanistic, Client-Centered, Experiential, Solution-Focused, Gestalt, CBT, and DBT.
My focus
I typically work with men and women struggling with cancer or addiction and alcohol issues, as well as those facing trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions.
My communication style
I tend to relate to your current struggle and offer comfort, guidance, and support through the changes you are going through. I am a cheerleader, coach, and kind person to talk to.
My journey to therapy
I have a personal history of stage 3 lung cancer and addiction issues. I came to therapy after a long period of struggling with addiction. I spent four years in prison as a result of my using. Now, I am over 18 years clean from all substances and believe I have a unique understanding of experiences like ours. I want to help—more than anything. My calling in life is to be of service to others, and I intend to follow that path.

I started with Charles about 3 years ago and sadly our time is coming to an end. Meeting with Charles every week has helped me to grow so much and I don’t believe that there is a more dedicated person out there. He truly puts his clients first and is always there to make you laugh when you need it. He’s an amazing person and therapist.
