Hi! I'm Chase, an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist who works with adults and couples navigating relationships, identity, emotional well-being, depression, mood-related concerns, and major life transitions. I believe therapy should help you not only move through difficult periods, but also better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and create meaningful change. I earned my master's degree in Clinical Psychology and Marriage & Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than a decade working in theater as an actor, director, improviser, and theater manager—a background that taught me a lot about curiosity, collaboration, empathy, and being present with others.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to work alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and respect rather than telling you who you should be or how you should live. My approach is client-centered and integrates emotionally focused, systems-based, CBT, IFS, narrative, and strength-based techniques depending on what fits your needs. I also take a holistic, gender-affirming approach and welcome clients exploring identity, gender, relationships, and the ways larger social systems can influence how we understand ourselves and connect with others.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first sessions are an opportunity to get to know each other and understand what brings you to therapy, what you've been experiencing, and what you'd like to be different. We'll explore your history, relationships, current challenges, and goals while beginning to identify patterns that may be affecting how you feel or function. From there, we'll work together to determine what approaches are most helpful. Depending on your needs, therapy may include exploring relationship patterns, building emotional awareness, challenging unhelpful thoughts, developing greater self-understanding, or identifying strengths and new ways of responding to life's challenges.
